Least and most addictive foods

It is generally acknowledged that some types of foods are more addictive than others. The findings of a study conducted on 504 volunteers by the University of Michigan indicated that Pizza topped the list. The participants were asked to try 35 foods and rank them from least to most addictive. The volunteer subjects were required to eat all of the 35 foods and see which one they could continue consuming before they felt like throwing up. According to the results, which were published in ‘PLoS One’ magazine, Pizza with an average rating of 4.1 was the food they wanted to eat the most, with chocolate and chips coming in second with an average score of 3.73, followed by biscuits (3.71) and ice cream (3.68). The least addictive were cucumber (1.53), carrots (1.60), beans (1.63), apples (1.66) and rice and coffee (1.74).
