Priest’s “cake porn” mistress hides $100,000 from Greek church in slush fund

Ethel Bouzalas, the lover of a high ranking Greek Orthodox priest George Passias, has been accused of stealing $100,000 from the church and hiding it in a secret fund.

The money was taken while she had an affair that was revealed in a series of sex tapes that showed the married woman, aged 45, sitting on cakes in a g-string and rubbing her feet in the face of the 67-year-old priest.

The money rightfully belonged to St. Spyridon Church in Washington Heights, New York, where Bouzalas was a former principal of the attached paraochial school.

The money was stashed in a secret money market bank account at a TD bank without the knowledge of church trustees, reports the New York Post, that revealed the scandal.

The account was opened last spring with money generated from church-owned rental property, says chancellor of the Greek Orthodox Church in the US, Bishop Andonios Paropoulos.

Bouzalas said that there was no financial wrong-doing and the account was never a secret. She also added that much of the money belonged to her husband in private funds he lent to the church. Bouzalas had married her Greek Orthodox husband after converting to his faith and being baptized by Passias wearing a bikini. The priest was also her godfather, and it was he who promoted her to volunteer principal of the school despite the fact that she had no educational credentials.

The scandal itself was revealed after Tom Bouzalas, Ethel’s husband, e-mailed Paropoulos the information. The bishop said that he had never seen the tapes that had been sent anonymously to the New York Post. The sender of the videos said that a private investigator had been hired to follow the couple and obtain proof of their affair. During this time they were filmed having strange sexual encounters such as cake porn and feet-to-face rubbing under a mirrored ceiling.

The priest was relieved of his duties on September 16.
