Foreign Minister Kotzias to visit Iran

Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias will carry out a visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran on 29 and 30 November 2015, accompanied by Deputy Foreign Minister Dimitris Mardas, Deputy Industry Minister Theodora Tzakri, and a Greek business delegation.

On Sunday, 29 November 2015, Mr. Kotzias will be received by the President of Iran, Dr. Hassan Rouhani, and he will have a meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, which will be followed by a press conference. Mr. Kotzias will then meet with the President of the Iranian Parliament, Dr. Ali Ardeshir Larijani, and attend an event at the Greek Embassy, with the members of the Greek business delegation and Iranian officials and entrepreneurs in attendance.

On Monday, 30 November 2015, Mr. Kotzias will meet with Petroleum Minister Bijan Namdar Zanganeh and Transport and Infrastructure Minister Abbas Ahmad Akhoundi.

Finally, Mr. Kotzias will deliver a welcome address at the “Iran-Greece Forum: Undiscovered Opportunities” conference and speak at the University of Tehran regarding the priorities of Greek foreign policy in the current regional and international state of affairs.
