Sexy Cretan beekeeper smells honey and gets himself a manager! (pics)

When sexy Cretan beekeper Stathis Stivaktakis shot to the public limelight at a farmers protest outside Greek Parliament house, the international media took notice. His rugged good looks, quaint traditional style of dress and deep blue eyes were matched by a humility that the public loved… and then, the inevitable happened! He got himself a manager to handle the media.

Though one can’t blame the beekeeper for hiring someone to handle the phone that is constantly ringing off the hook, there’s an air of hypocrisy concerning a man who doesn’t want to be called sexy and then is photographed for ‘Down Town’ lifestyle magazine.

His terms for the magazine photoshoot were “no nudes, no barefoot, no cross-legged sitting, no nothing. Forget it!” Present with him was a friend who he introduced as his manager and they showed up two hours late.

Questions were filtered through the “manager” so he wouldn’t fall into a trap and answer a question that would compromise him. Asked about the mass media, Stathis felt a sense of disappointment concerning their handling of him. Regarding the enthusiasm that Doretta Papadimitriou expressed concerning his looks, he sufficed to say that he isn’t interested in the comments of every telestar.

As for George Liangas, both he and his family felt insulted tht he was refered to as “uneducated” before being invited to join the panel of guests on the morning show.
