Bosnians Mock Federation PM's 'Good Life' Claim

People in Bosnia's Federation entity flooded twitter with sarcastic messages on Wednesday after the Prime Minister of the entity, Fadil Novalic, told a press conference that they lived well and spent too much of their money on unnecessary things.

"Not only are the citizens of FBiH living well but in fact they dissipate their money," Novalic said, citing analysis of the most sold items in one of the best known market chains.

"The most sold item was coffee, the second was cigarettes, the fourth beer, the eighth wine ... of the first ten items on the list, only three are essential," Novalic remarked.

Novalic's "easy living" claim caused a furious reaction from many citizens in the entity, who flooded twitter on Wednesday with messages under the hashtag #FadileOprosti [Forgive me Fadil].

Many of them mocked the Prime Minister and drew attention to the difficult situation facing Bosnian citizens.

"Don't miss today's Pink TV special episode of the program 'Let's cook with Fadil'. We'll prepare a traditional Bosnian meal: a slice of bread and a glass of water," one sarcastic tweet read.

Danas na #PinkBiH gledajte specijalnu emisiju #KuhajmoSaFadilom. Pravi bosanski obrok. Kri?ku hljeba i ?a?u vode. Car! #FadileOprosti
