Man banned from having sex unless he tells police 24 hours in advance

A North Yorkshore man has been restricted from having sex and is subject to controls on his use of internet as part of an interim sex order will continue until May 19 when magistrates will decide whether to make a full order and for how long.

According to the interim order the man must tell the police of his intent ot have sex at least 24 hours in advance and also identify the woman he plans to have sex with. Full sexual risk orders last for a minimum of two years and breaching an order can lead to a prison sentence of up to five years.

Sexual risk orders are a civil order and can be made when the person concerned has not been convicted of a sexual offence.
