"Irresponsible talk about choosing between Russia and EU"

Serbia strives to join the EU "exclusively for the sake of Serbian citizens," a deputy prime minister has said in an editorial published by Politika daily.

That policy is not in place "because of Brussels, Washington, Moscow, or Beijing," writes Zorana Mihajlovic, adding that "Serbia on the road toward the EU means building new railroads with Russia, new highways and a railroad to Budapest according to European standards with China."
