Watch baby orangutans attending ‘jungle school’

International Animal Rescue, a charity in Keptang, Indonesia, has built a forest school baby orangutans so as to learn how to survive in the wild.

Every day charity workers take them on wheelbarrow to the school where the youngsters can climb and swing from the ropes and barrels.

Orangutans usually spend seven to eight years with their mother who teaches them the skills they need to survive.

Therefore, the charity built this ‘jungle school’ so as to help the baby orangutans learn the skills their mothers would have taught them in the wild.

With this initiative, the charity aims to return the animals to the wild once they are fully rehabilitated.
