Wedding night sex down in the UK shows poll

Ahhh…that long-awaited first wedding night. But maybe it’s not that special after all. The prevalent urban myth that every groom and bride can’t wait to enjoy their first night as a married couple might be just that, according to a poll in the UK. A YouGov survey for British newlyweds revealed that wedding night sex is on the decline, as one third of under 40s saying they didn’t consummate their marriage until after the big day. The poll indicates the main reason for this is fatigue or drunkenness. The more worrisome finding is that 8 per cent of 18-39 year olds didn’t actually remember if they had sex or not on their wedding night.
