Bulgaria Presents Investment Opportunities to Turkish Investors

Bulgaria's government presented the country's investment opportunities to Turkey's Foreign Economic Relations Board on Tuesday.

Low taxes, developed transport infrastructure and favourable geographic location in addition to fiscal stability are among the advantages that attract foreign Investors to Bulgaria, Deputy Prime Minister Tomislav Donchev and Economy Minister Bozhidar Lukarski said at the meeting, according to a news release of the government press office.

The participants in the meeting discussed opportunities for promoting trade links between Bulgaria and Turkey and attracting fresh investments in the context of the lifting of the international sanctions against Iran and China's concept of rebuilding the Silk Road - two points that give particular weight to both Bulgaria and Turkey as key parts of East-West transport corridors, the government in Sofia said. Considering this, the Turkish delegation has expressed interest in projects for improving road and rail infrastructure in Bulgaria, as well as implementation of joint projects.
