"Royal Court" racks up EUR 70k in unpaid electricity bills

The Karadjordjevics' unpaid electricity bills reached EUR 70,000 "because it was not in the state's interest to leave the building where they live in the dark."

This is what "a former director" of Serbia's state-owned electricity company EPS told Belgrade daily Politika, adding this was "the main reason why nobody in previous governments ever reacted to the debts of the Karadjordjevic family."
