Romanian President Recalls Ambassador to Bulgaria

Romanian President Klaus Iohannis has recalled the country's ambassador to Sofia Anton Pacuretu.

Pacuretu is one of fourteen ambassadors, who were recalled with a decree signed by Iohannis on Tuesday.

Pacuretu has served as Romanian ambassador in Bulgaria since 2009.

Among the other recalled ambassadors are those in Turkey, Spain, Moldova, Ukraine, the Netherlands, Finland, Italy, Denmark, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Portugal, Croatia, Mexico and Morocco.

Among them are two ambassadors who went on leave during the visit of Romanian prime minister to the countries where the diplomats serve and Dana Constantinescu, the Romanian ambassador to Italy, who during a parliamentary hearing in 2013 could not point the names of the Italian foreign and interior ministers.
