ND leader asks for elections to put an end to incompetent gov’t’s ruling

The vast majority of citizens are greatly disappointed, since all Greeks are forced to make harsh sacrifices and see their lives getting worse day by day, said president of main opposition New Democracy Kyriakos Mitsotakis, who visits the US.

In an interview with The National Herald of New York, he said that “A feeling of absolute uncertainty and resignation is being established”, adding that the unemployed have nothing to hope for, those who are working are constantly afraid of losing their jobs and the middle class is subject to a great number of new taxes.

He also lashed out at the government describing it as “incompetent” and “obsessive” which “does not assumes its responsibilities, does not implement its obligations and does not let Greece stand on its own feet. ”

Mr. Mitsotakis believes that the government of Tsipras should leave, since as long as it remains in power there will be no improvement. “We urgently need a new government that will support business initiatives and private sector,” he said noting that “the country is like an ungoverned ship in the storm”.
