Saudi king welcomed in Turkish capital

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdo?an has welcomed Saudi King Salman in the presidential palace with a state ceremony during the king's official three-day visit to the country.

King Salman arrived at the presidential palace accompanied by mounted troops. The king later saluted the escort of honor.

A special ramp was also placed for the Saudi king to ascend to the platform where the two leaders listened to the national anthems, as the king had difficulty walking.

The ceremony also saw the participation of Prime Minister Ahmet Davuto?lu, Chief of Staff Gen. Hulusi Akar, Deputy Prime Minister Lütfü Elvan and other ministers as well as Saudi high-level officials and representatives.

The two leaders later posed for reporters at the gates of the presidential palace and began delegation meetings.
