OSCE: Election process in Kosovo was regular

PRISTINA - Last Sunday's Serbian early parliamentary elections were conducted in Kosovo in a regular, incident-free manner, says Senad Sabovic, spokesman of the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) Mission in Kosovo.

The OSCE had personnel in every unit where the process was under way and they had clear instructions and precise training, Sabovic told Tanjug.

The OSCE personnel did react to certain regularities, Sabovic said without elaborating, adding that the intensity of the irregularities was such that it could not jeopardise the election process in Kosovo.

After the closure of vote collection units (polling stations), the ballot boxes were sealed and taken to Raska and Vranje, central Serbia, where they were handed over to officials of the Serbian central electoral commission for counting, he said.
