Greek tourist police at hand at nine airports to assist visitors

The tourist police have opened up offices at nine Greek airports and will soon be inaugurating another at Athens International Airport, it has been announced.

Officers will be on duty at the kiosks to help visitors arriving in Greece with any questions they have relating to local laws or other tourist-related issues.

The airports that already have the tourist police booths are Thessaloniki, Iraklio, Rhodes, Hania, Corfu, Myconos, Kos, Santorini and Zakynthos.

The Citizens' Protection Ministry said that most of the officers at the airports speak foreign languages.
