Gojkovic re-elected parliament speaker

BELGRADE - Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) official Maja Gojkovic was on Monday re-elected as the speaker of the Serbian parliament.
   
Gojkovic's re-election was backed by 159 MPs of the SNS, the Socialist Party of Serbia, the Party of United Pensioners of Serbia, the Social Democratic Party of Serbia, New Serbia, United Serbia, the Alliance of Vojvodina Hungarians-Party for Democratic Action coalition and the Movement of Socialists-People's Peasant Party-United Peasant Party coalition.

A total of 233 MPs took part in the vote, with 73 voting against and one abstaining.
