Greece braces for a second wave of extreme weather

Authorities fear a new wave of extreme weather could wreak more havoc after the 2-day rainfalls resulted in the death of four people. According to the National Meteorological Services (EMY) forecast, western Greece will bear the brunt of more heavy rains and storms, Thursday, with topical hail storms affecting the regions in the Ionian Sea, Epirus, central and mainland Greece, Thessaly and western Macedonia, while the phenomena will also hit the Peloponnese, the area hit hardest in the past 48 hours, and central Macedonia. Thrace, the eastern and southern Aegean are expected to have fair weather, while northern Crete will see temperatures in 35 Celsius range. Authorities are have cautioned for floods, especially in the regions that were mostly affected by the recent storms as the solid is saturated.
