Lesvos: Pakistanis smash cars after false rumour of death of compatriots

A rumour that 5 Pakistanis and 2 Moroccans died while being transported in a truck in some Greek port, resulted in about 200 Pakistani migrants breaking out of the Moria hotspot in Lesvos, and marching on the city of Mytilene in protest. The Pakistanis smashed two cars of employees outside the reception centre on their way to the city centre, about 8km from the hotspot. Despite the fact that the news could not be corroborated by any source and the efforts by NGO translators to calm the migrants down, they were reportedly being coordinated and encouraged via cell phone messages to leave the hotspot and continue their march on the city centre by unknown instigators. The protesters reached the city centre at 2am in the morning only to find there was nobody waiting or them. They finally returned to the Moria hotspot at 3am in the morning.
