Taxes in Sunny Beach To Be Abolished

The taxes on rent, parking, the use of alleys and other services determined by Sunny Beach AD are null and void, announced the Prosecutor's Office and demanded that these be abolished.

The Supreme Administrative Prosecutor's Office and the Burgas Regional Prosecutor's Office have inspected the payments collected by Sunny Beach AD and the Nessebar Municipality for the 2016 summer season.

The inspection showed that the taxes for tourists have been determined by Sunny Beach AD which is "an unauthorized entity" and not by the Nessebar Municipality, while, in some cases, the taxes have been duplicated .

Four of the decisions of the Board of Directors of Sunny Beach AD have been disputed at the Administrative Court in Burgas. The first decision introduces a "blue zone" and the status of the roads in the complex has been changed from open for public use to private without public access. The other decisions establish infrastructure control regimes, determine rights for its use and update prices.
