Vucic: We want best possible relations with Croatia

BELGRADE - We will make maximum effort to have the best possible relations with Croatia - we will not threaten anyone because having the largest possible trade volume is a mutual interest, but we will know how to protect our national and state interests, says Serbian PM Aleksandar Vucic.

In an appearance on an RTS talk show, Vucic said he knew Croatian Democratic Union leader Andrej Plenkovic and that he was a serious man.

Vucic added that Serbia would be looking to build the best possible relations with Plenkovic and Croatian President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic.

"We want to have the largest possible trade volume. Today it is approaching one billion (euros), and it used to be 460 million. That is a mutual interest. We will be looking to develop those relations and, for the first time ever, Serbia is not in an inferior position," Vucic said.
