End in sight for bus worker strike in Thessaloniki

After 12 days of strike action that has paralyzed bus transport in Thessaloniki, the head of the city's urban transport organization (OASTH), Christos Stefanidis, announced that the Transport Ministry had disbursed the money for striking workers to receive back pay and called on the protesters to go back to work.

The head of the union representing the bus workers, Dimitris Tsermanidis, said he would advise employees to return to work "when we see the money in our accounts."
