Bad weather expected, EMY warns

Heavy rain, storms and strong winds were expected to hit various parts of Greece late Thursday, the country's National Meteorological Service (EMY), warned earlier in the day.

According to an emergency report filed by the service, bad weather was expected in the Ionian islands, Epirus, parts of Central Greece and the eastern Peloponnese and possibly Thessaly.

On Friday and Saturday, EMY warned that bad weather could hit western and central Macedonia as well as areas in the eastern Peloponnese and eastern Central Greece.
