Serbia handball team off to great start in Euro qualifiers

GDANSK - The Serbia men's national handball team, led by new head coach Jovica Cvetkovic, is off to a fantastic start in the Euro 2018 qualifiers after beating big favourites Poland 37-32 (20-14) away from home in a Group 2, Round 1 match in Gdansk Thursday.

In front of a crowd of 10,000, Petar Nenadic led Serbia to victory over world no. 3-ranked Poland with 10 goals, while Darko Djukic and Rastko Stojkovic added seven each.

In the next round, Serbia host Belarus in Nis on Sunday.
