Thaci urges NATO to warn Serbia; Rakic: EU openly sided with the Albanians

BELGRADE - Kosovo President Hashim Thaci expressed concern over, as he said, "Serbia's propaganda campaign", which induces "fear and interethnic hatred" in the Serbian community in northern Kosovo.

At the same time, Hashim Thaci sought to convince Serbian community in Kosovo that "nothing bad will happen to them" by the security institutions in Pristina and called on the EU and NATO to warn Belgrade to refrain from "provoking a new conflict in Kosovo and the region".

Serbs gathered today near the main Ibar bridge in northern Kosovska Mitrovica to protest against, as they said, announced demolition of the retaining wall. Gathered citizens told Tanjug reporter that they are scared over what has been happening in the last days.
