Fraport AG could bid for Belgrade airport concession

German transportation company Fraport AG is a possible bidder for the concession of Belgrade's international airport named after Nikola Tesla.

Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic said on Tuesday that he spoke with Minister-President of the German state of Hesse Volker Bouffier, who is visiting Belgrade, about this possibility, Tanjug has reported.

Fraport AG holds interenst in several airports around the world and manages the one in Frankfurt, Germany.

According to official data, the company employed around 20,000 people in 2015, serving 61 million passengers in Frankfurt, with an operating profit of 7.4 percent (EUR 848.8 million).
