Ten-men Besiktas spurs Olympiacos to make it to last eight in Europa League

Istanbul's Besiktas, the sole Turkish team in the European tournaments, beat Greece's Olympiacos 4-1 to make it to the quarter finals in the UEFA Europa League.

Besiktas began the game in a fast pace, making it 2-0 in the first 25 minutes, with Cameroonian Vincent Aboubakar scoring in a header from inside the box before Dutchman Ryan Babel found the back of the net with a clean inside-foot shot.

Beşiktaş denied a nightmare, after Olympiacos Tarik Elyounisi scored in 31th minute and Aboubakar was sent off eight minutes later.

Babel scored his second goal in the 82nd minute and Cenk Tosun from the bench killed the Gereek side's dreams before the final whistle.

The draw for the quarter finals is on March 17.
