Huge Russian torpedo found on beach in Lithuania! (PHOTOS)

A four-metre long (12-foot) Russia-made torpedo was found on the Curonian Spit on the Baltic Sea coast, near the border with the Russian Federation.

The torpedo found, according to the estimates of the border guards, is a training torpedo. It is painted in green and red colors, has inscriptions in Russian.

The torpedo was found in Lithuania’s territory, at distance of 1 km from the Lithuanian-Russian border.

Just two days ago, Lithuania warned NATO that Russia has the capability to attack the Baltic states with as little as 24 hours’ notice according to intelligence sources.

Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia, annexed by the Soviet Union in the 1940s but now part of both NATO and the European Union, have been increasingly nervous since the Russian takeover of Crimea in 2014.
