Baby red squirrel released back into nature after treatment

A baby red squirrel, which was found and delivered to officials by children four days ago in the northeastern province of Kars, was released back into nature after receiving treatment on May 12, state-run Anadolu Agency has reported.

The baby squirrel was named "Ormancı" (Forester) by officials from the National Parks and Nature Conservation's branch in Kars who treated animal.  

Murat Doğanay, the manager of the conservation, said they treated the squirrel and prepared it for release back into nature.   

A group of children found the baby squirrel in an immobile state while they were playing in Kars' İnönü neighborhood on May 9.
