GD member sentenced over remark to slain rapper's mother

A member of Golden Dawn standing trial with other officials and supporters of the far-right party was sentenced on Tuesday to seven months in prison over a remark addressed to the mother of Pavlos Fyssas, the rapper killed by a party member in September 2013.

Judges found the defendant guilty of verbal abuse and insulting the memory of the dead after he shouted to Magda Fyssa: "Where's your Pavlos now?"

According to court records, the incident occurred on February 14, during one of many periods of tension in the specially designed courtroom in the capital's Korydallos Prison, sparked by the defendants demanding that party supporters be allowed into the court.
