Albania trying to prevent extradition of Morina to Serbia

Albanian President Ilir Meta has spoken with Croatian Ambassador Sanja Bojas-Juraga about the decision of the Croatian Supreme Court to extradite Ismail Morina.

Morina - who in 2014 disrupted an international football game in Belgrade when he released a drone with the map of "Greater Albania - i.e., Albania's territory expanded to neighboring countries - is wanted in Serbia on charges of inciting ethnic, religious, and racial hatred.

Morina is currently in jail in Croatia on a Serbian warrant - while the meeting in Tirana came one day after the Croatian court rejected his appeal, RTS reported late on Wednesday, citing to the Albanian daily Shekulli.

Meta told the Croatian ambassador that he "doubts that Morina will have an objective and fair trial in Serbia" - while the report said the meeting was Tirana's "first move" after the decision of the Croatian Supreme...
