Athens man's hanging death being investigated

Police in Athens on Friday were investigating the the death of a man found hanging from a tree in Neos Cosmos.

The man, believed to be a migrant, was found hanging from a length of rope in the Aghia Foteini park, close to the junction of Vouliagmenis Avenue and Kallirois Street.

Police sources said suicide was believed to be the likely cause of death, though they had not ruled out foul play.
