Square in Buenos Aires to be named after Serbia

Argentina's capital Buenos Aires will name a square after the Republic of Serbia, Beta is reporting on Monday.

For this reason, Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic will on November 21-23 visit this South American country.

Ahead of his trip, Dacic met in Belgrade with Argentina's Ambassador Ricardo Fernandez.

Dacic and Fernandez assessed that the naming of the square after Serbia will represent yet another confirmation of friendly relations between the two countries - after a park was named after the Republic of Argentina in Belgrade in October.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Serbia said in a statement that while in Argentina, the minister will be received by Argentina's Vice President Gabriela Michetti, and the country's foreign minister, Jorge Marcel Faurie.

Serbia and Argentina also plan to sign an agreement on trade and economic cooperation...
