The Basic Court in Gjilane in Kosovo has set free nine men accused of attacking the Serbian police checkpoint in Dobrosin in 2012, wounding one officer.

Tanjug said this on Thursday, citing the Pristina-based Albanian language daily Gazeta Express as reporting that the court found "no evidence that they carried out the attack."

In 2013, the nine accused were found guilty and sentenced to prison terms ranging from two to nine years, but after they appealed, the Supreme Court of Kosovo overturned the verdicts for procedural reasons and ordered a retrial.
