Haradinaj: Kosovo will get army in March; Vulin: No armed force in Kosovo except KFOR

Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj says visa liberalization will be granted to Kosovo at the latest in March.

And he said the Kosovo Security Force (KSF) would be turned into an army by the same time.

In a statement to RTK, quoted by Beta on Friday, Haradinaj said that starting in March at the latest, "citizens of Kosovo will be able to freely move to the Schengen zone."

RTK reported that Haradinaj will discuss these issues with EU representatives during his visit to Brussels on December 18.

Beta said that this was the first time that one of the leaders of Kosovo institutions has spoken about deadlines for achieving the process of visa liberalization and the formation of the Kosovo army.

EU's preconditions for visa liberalization are "demarcation of border with Montenegro and success in the fight against corruption and organized crime."
