UEFA slaps stadium ban on Red Star, club to appeal

BELGRADE - Serbian football giants Red Star Belgrade are set to host CSKA Moscow in the UEFA Europa League Round of 32 in empty grounds after receiving a one-game stadium ban on Friday.

The UEFA disciplinary commission also handed Red Star a 50,000 euro fine over incidents during the club's away game against BATE Borisov in the group stage of the competition, when Red Star supporters held a banner honouring former Republika Srpska Army commander Ratko Mladic and chanted his name.
