Serbian businesses urged to take part in China Expo 2018

BEIJING - Tomislav Nikolic, who chairs the Serbian national council on cooperation with Russia and China, met on Wednesday with Chinese International Trade Representative and Vice Minister of Commerce Fu Ziying, who urged Serbian businesspeople to take part in China's Expo 2018 international fair.

"The cooperation between Serbia and PR China began with infrastructure projects and expanded through the privatisation of the (Smederevo) steel mill, which is now contributing to the budget. An important step has been made by approving imports of Serbian meat, and we see the project to build a Belgrade-Budapest rail line - which we are developing with Chinese partners - as one of the most significant ones today."
