DefMin Fifor meets head of Israeli Foreign Affairs and Defence Committee Dichter

Romania's National Defence Minister Mihai Fifor met on Wednesday, in Jerusalem, chief of the Foreign Affairs and Defence Committee of the Israeli Parliament Avi Dichter, according to a press statement released by the Romanian National Defence Ministry (MApN).

Talks focused on intensifying the bilateral cooperation in the defence area, but also on the recent developments in the state of security in the Black Sea region, as well as in the Middle East.

"The Romanian defence minister discussed the priorities of Romania's Government in the defence area, with an emphasis on the modernisation of the military acquisitions, following the allocation of two percent of its Gross Domestic Product (GDP) for defence spending," the MApN release mentions.
