46 People have Died of Measles in Romania

The number of people killed by measles in Romania reached 46 people after a 9-month-old baby from Constanza died today. The National Center for Infectious Diseases Surveillance reported that the baby was not vaccinated.

This week, 204 new cases of measles have been registered in our northern neighbor, bringing the total number of confirmed cases of infected with this dangerous disease to around 12,000.

The risk of developing a measles epidemic in Bulgaria is low, despite the growing number of countries infected in the neighboring countries, this is the opinion of the state health inspector Dr. Angel Kunchev.
