Serbian and Chinese presidents to meet in September

President Aleksandar Vucic received on Friday in Belgrade Chinese Ambassador Li Manchang.

According to the president's press service, they spoke about joint projects in the field of economic cooperation between the two countries.

Vucic and Li "noted that economic relations between Serbia and China are intensively developing and that the realization of agreed joint projects is taking place to mutual satisfaction," the statement said, adding that they also discussed the possibilities for concluding new cooperation agreements.

As stated, the signing of at least ten cooperation agreements is expected during the visit of Vucic to China in September for the snnual Meeting of the World Economic Forum in Tianjin, and his meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping. This will "strengthen the partnership between the two countries."

Vucic today also gave the ambassador his letter for Xi, congratulating the Chinese leader on his birthday.

In the letter, Vucic "expressed great satisfaction because Xi accepted the invitation to visit Serbia."
