The Center of Sofia will be Closed for Extensive Renovation from Monday

On Monday July 2 will begin the renovations in the center of Sofia between Alexander Nevski squares, National Assembly, Tsar Osvoboditel boulevards and Vasil Levski, Crystal garden and Moskovska Street. The repairs will end next year.

The square surrounding the cathedral will be a completely pedestrian area.

The total value of the project is 21.5 million leva (with 19.5 million leva being European funding). The plant incldes that all the rubbish bins are underground, the construction of 5 toilets, 3 charging stations for electric cars, pavement repairs and pavements where necessary, replacement of the lamps.

The company doing the repairs is "PST Group".
