Athletics: Gabriel Bularda, gold medal at European Mountain Running Championships in Skopje

Romanian athlete Gabriel Bularda won the gold medal in the juniors' individual competition on Sunday, in the European Mountain Running Championships of Skopje (Macedonia), according to the website of the Romanian Athletics Federation.

Gabriel Bularda finished the race in 25 min 07 sec. The other Romanian athletes ranked as follows: Peter Herman ranked 16th (27 minutes and 49 sec), Adrian Garcea, 18th (27 min 53 sec) and Catalin Tocila, 22nd (28 min 33 sec). Romania ranked 5th in the team competition, lagging behind the UK, Turkey, France and Italy.

The Romanian junior women's team ranked 4th, after Italy, the UK, and France. In the individual event, Alexia Hecico closed on the 6th position (30 min 58 sec), Loredana Viziteu, 9th (31 min 26 sec), Irina Bordeanu ranked 17th (33 min 17 sec) and Laura Corhana closed on 22 (34 min 10 sec).
