AGERPRES National News Agency, member of National Committee of Live Skills European project

AGERPRES National News Agency on Wednesday became a member of the National Committee of the Live Skills European project, initiated by the European Commission under the Erasmus+ programme, alongside the Culture & Mass Media Federation FAIR - MediaSind, the British Council and other partners from Bulgaria, Greece and the UK.

Live Skills will initiate and develop three innovating programmes for the education and vocational training of employees in the audiovisual and live performance sectors. The project's key objectives are to enhance skills in these sectors, from entrepreneurial and management skills to the use of cutting-edge digital technologies.

These learning programmes will initially be designed for 2 audiovisual professions: Sound Managers & Video/Film Editors, and will cover the following areas: Arts Management, Digital and New Technologies, Cultural Entrepreneurship.

These learning programmes will eventually be adapted to be used by a broader range of professions and other subsectors of the wider creative and cultural sector, to ensure that the material produced by the Live Skills project is both transferable and sustainable.

Live Skills will try to solve the lack of skills identified and will respond to the demand of new skill in the audiovisual and live performance subsectors in the creative and cultural areas.

The project will contribute to enhancing the employment capacity and mobility of professionals and students in the culture area, will increase the competitiveness of the sector and will build a vibrant, robust and sustainable future sector.

For the project to have a close connection with the labour market, National Stakeholders Committees are established, to participate in interviews, focus-groups and meetings, aimed at identifying and analysing the need and lack of skills, affecting the area, as well as tracing the labour market trends in this sector.
