French FM: EU to fight Trump's efforts to destabilize it

French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian says the EU will fight US President Donald Trump's efforts to "destabilize it."

According to Le Drian, Trump intends to "derail international cooperation."

AP reported that he told the BMF broadcaster that the US president "can't tolerate that there is an ensemble called the European Union - but Europe will not let itself be destabilized."

According to Le Drian says , "Trump only believes in conflict relationships and is trying to destroy multilateral efforts to encourage trade, fight climate change and Iran's nuclear activities."

During this week's NATO summit, Trump first accused the German government of being under total Russian control, because of the country's dependence on Russian gas, and then told British tabloid the Sun that UK's prime minister was "too soft with the EU on Brexit negotiations."
