"Greater Union - Romania, 100 years on" AGERPRES documentary, screened at "Film and Literature" Project

"The Greater Union - Romania, 100 years on" produced by the AGERPRES National News Agency was screened on Thursday, in the garden of the Romanian Literature National Museum, in the opening of the second edition of the project "Film and Literature."

The film was presented by AGERPRES Director General Alexandru Giboi and one of the directors, Marilena Stanescu.

"I saw this film over 20 times and each time I enjoy watching people's reactions and no matter what town or country we screened this film it triggered the same reactions. The emotion this film generates exceeds the garden of the Literature Museum, Bucharest or an other town in Romania or the country in itself. It is a film that leaves a mark. As far as I am concerned, it is not a film, it is the Centennial's Film," Alexandru Giboi said in the beginning of the documentary's screening.

Marilena Stanescu said the film is "a kind of spiritual journey" and those who feature in the documentary are "tale heroes."

"It is a kind of spiritual journey, not just merely a film, you will go through a range of emotions, you will laugh, you will cry, you will remember parents, grandparents, history books that you will see in a very different light," she said.
