Romania's U-20 rugby side continue training for 2018 World Rugby Under 20 Trophy

Bucharest, August 6 /Agerpres/ - Romania's Under-20 national rugby side are continuing training for the 2018 World Rugby Under 20 Trophy, a competition to be held in Bucharest at the Arcul de Triumf Stadium, August 28 - September 9.

The Oaks will be taking part in a training tour in Italy, Parma, August 6-11, where they will meet Italy's U-20 National Rugby Academy side, according to the Romanian Rugby Federation.

At the 2018 World Rugby Under 20 Trophy, Romania play Namibia on August 28 at 19:00hrs, EEST; Samoa on September 1 -at 17hrs, EEST, and Hong Kong on September 5, at 19:00hrs, EEST. September 9 is the day when the play-offs start.

"The goal for this stage, for the match we are going to play is to keep players getting familiar with the game system, keep the structures we have deployed on the field, improve them, but we must increase the level and intensity of the game and the accuracy of the play, so that we may be more effective when it comes to scoring. It is a very important test because we can rectify some things, we can see exactly how players will do in a real match situation," according to Danie de Villiers, the head coach of Romania's U20 side.

Romania will host in Bucharest, the Arcul de Triumf stadium, August 28 - September 9, the 2018 World Rugby Under 20 Trophy, the world's second most valuable competition in this age category. A total of 8 sides will participate in this competition organised by the Romanian Rugby Federation in collaboration with World Rugby: Romania, Samoa, Fiji, Namibia, Uruguay, Portugal, Hong Kong and Canada.
