Turkish rector resigns after remarks over 'obeying Erdoğan'

A university rector in the southeastern Turkish province of Şanlıurfa has resigned after reactions over his remarks suggesting that it is "an Islamic duty to obey" President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
