Almost 60pct of Romanians agree with Romania's union with Moldova

Almost 60pct of Romanians declare rather their agreement with Romania's union with the Republic of Moldova, while 27pct are opposed, according to an Avangarde survey released on Wednesday.

According to the quoted source, the question "Would you personally rather agree or rather disagree with the unification of Romania with the Republic of Moldova?", 59pct answered "I agree", 27pct answered they disagree and 14pct "I do not know /I do not answer".

The survey also reveals that 85pct of the respondents were proud to be Romanian, 8pct said they were not proud and 7pct did not know / did not answer.

Ask who is Romania's strongest neighbour, 49pct responded Hungary, 19pct to Ukraine, 14pct Moldova, 11pct Serbia, 4pct to Bulgaria, and 3pct to "another".

At the same time, 31pct of respondents believe that Romania should have the best relations with Hungary, 28pct with Moldova, 12pct with Ukraine, 12pct with Bulgaria, 5pct with Serbia, 5pct with all, 3pct with none and 4pct with another state.
