Inflation movements in November

Another factor was the fall in petroleum product prices, the National Bank of Serbia (NBS) announced.

Working in the opposite direction were higher prices of transport services and the seasonal rise in prices of clothes and footwear, a press release from the government's office added.

Year-on-year inflation continued to move within the target tolerance band (3±1.5 percent), amounting to 1.9 percent at end-November, while core inflation (CPI excluding the prices of food, energy, alcohol and cigarettes) remained almost unchanged from several previous months, measuring 1.0 percent.

Under the National Bank of Serbia's central projection, in the coming period year-on-year inflation will stay low and stable within the target band.
