Women's handball: Cristina Neagu is best player of the year 2018 in Europe

Bucharest, Jan 26 /Agerpres/ - Romanian handball player Cristina Neagu has been elected the best player in Europ,e in 2018, in a poll conducted by the European Handball Federation (EHF) on its Facebook page, with more than 10,000 fans participating.

This is the second consecutive year when Neagu is awarded this title.

The other candidates were the 11 players of the months designated by the EHF journalists in 2018, namely: Norwegian Amanda Kurtovic (January), goalkeeper Paula Ungureanu (February), both playing for CSM Bucharest, Russian Maria Dmitrieva (March), Hungarian Anita Gorbicz (April), Brazilian Eduarda Amorim (May), Russian Ana Viahireva (June, October, December), Hungarian Blanka Kajdon (July/August), Dutch Maura Visser (September) and Neagu (November).
